Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Copository ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Copository is an AI-powered documentation generator that analyzes public GitHub repositories and creates comprehensive documentation using artificial intelligence.

Service Description

Copository provides the following services:

  • Automated documentation generation for public GitHub repositories
  • AI-powered analysis of code structure and functionality
  • Optional export of documentation to Notion workspaces
  • Downloadable documentation in Markdown format

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Copository only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Submit URLs to private repositories you don't own
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the service
  • Use the Service for malicious purposes or security testing without permission
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract proprietary algorithms
  • Submit repositories containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Violate GitHub's Terms of Service or API usage policies
  • Overload or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
  • Use automated scripts or bots without authorization

Service Limitations

To ensure fair access and maintain service quality, we enforce certain technical limitations:

  • Repository Size: Maximum 50MB of filtered content
  • File Count: Maximum 500 files per repository
  • Processing Time: 3-minute timeout for documentation generation

We reserve the right to implement additional limitations to prevent service abuse and ensure availability for all users.

Notion Integration Terms

If you choose to connect your Notion workspace:

  • You grant Copository permission to create pages in your Notion workspace
  • You are responsible for managing Notion permissions and page access
  • Copository stores access tokens securely but cannot guarantee Notion API availability
  • Access tokens are automatically deleted after 30 days
  • You can revoke access at any time through the disconnect feature
  • You must comply with Notion's Terms of Service

Intellectual Property

Public Repositories

Copository only processes publicly accessible GitHub repositories. By submitting a public repository URL, you acknowledge that:

  • The repository is publicly available and accessible to anyone
  • We access the repository through GitHub's public API
  • Repository content is subject to its existing open-source license (if any)
  • You have the right to submit the repository for documentation generation

Generated Documentation

Documentation generated by Copository is provided to you under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the generated documentation for any purpose without restriction.

Copository Service

The Copository service, including its design, functionality, algorithms, and branding, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service itself without permission.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Documentation is generated using Google's Gemini AI. While we strive for accuracy:

  • Generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • AI models may misinterpret code structure or functionality
  • You should review and verify all generated documentation
  • Copository is not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

Copository makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service operation
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement of third-party rights
  • Compatibility with your systems or workflows

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COPOSITORY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • Damages resulting from use or inability to use the Service
  • Third-party actions (GitHub, Notion, AI providers)
  • Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated documentation

In no event shall our total liability exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid for the Service (if any), whichever is greater.

Third-Party Services

Copository integrates with third-party services (GitHub, Google Gemini, Notion). You acknowledge that:

  • You must comply with each service's terms and policies
  • Copository is not responsible for third-party service availability or performance
  • Third-party service changes may affect Copository functionality

Indemnification
